Happy November!

At Loll headquarters, we know that November has arrived. How do we know? Well, we chatted with a few Loll employees, and here’s the best of what they said:

“Brrr.” –Jesse, Web Design
“Turkey Day is right around the corner.” –Nate, Contract Sales
“Oh, dear goodness… you want a quote?” –Wendy, Customer Service

Maybe we should just stick making great furniture. So, here are the November highlights- we promise they’re more enlightening.

Green Festival in San Francisco

Join us for a party with a purpose at the San Francisco Green Festival. You'll enjoy more than 200 visionary speakers, great how-to workshops, green films, green careers sessions, organic beer and wine, and delicious cuisine. And, when you’ve exhausted yourself with all of the excitement, come on over to the Loll Designs booth and test our furniture with a little lollygagging time. We’ll see you there!

T77 Sneak Peek

At Loll, we’re pretty enthusiastic whenever a new product rolls off the line. Lately, we’ve been developing a whole slew of new furniture, and although it’s not quite ready yet, we just can’t contain our excitement… So, without further ado, we introduce the T77 prototype!

We put all of our furniture through the rigors of heavy-duty testing so you know it’ll hold up through years of use in the elements. We also have various sized lollygaggers test our furniture to provide the utmost in comfort for every body. We’ll keep perfecting, and you can keep checking the website for the official T77 launch in the next couple of weeks.

Celebrate Recycling!

Believe it or not, at Loll, we're pretty big on recycling. We think it has something to do with the fact that all of our furniture is made from 100% recycled post consumer HDPE. So, if you're looking for something to do on Thursday November 15th (and aren't we all?), consider... recycling! America Recycles Day celebrates recycling and encourages us to, "make an effort to make a difference."

The fine folks at the National Recycling Coalition have created a swell website to help us learn more about recycling or America Recycles Day at: http://www.americarecyclesday.org/

Tired of being loll alone? Invite a friend!

Are you convinced that your friends would love Loll? We are too, so we’ve created a handy-dandy button so that you can pick out the perfect pieces for each of your friends, and send links to see them via email. Just spot the little envelope below the main image on each product page, click, and send! Hint: this also works well as a subtle reminder to someone special that the holidays are approaching...

Loll makes it LEED Platinum

Loll pieces have been used recently in a LEED Platinum Certified House. LEED certification, through the U.S. Green Building Council, provides independent, third-party verification that a building project is environmentally responsible by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. The Platinum mark is the highest level of certification for LEED projects.

Live Green, Live Smart took on a large project for 2007: A LEED for Homes Pilot Project in the Minneapolis suburbs, with the goal of surpassing LEED Platinum certification. To see their fantastic results, check out their website: http://livegreenlivesmart.org/shelter/sustainable_house/exterior.aspx

Take Two: A Roof Garden Brings The Sky Down To Earth
October 14, 2007

Writer Hazel White’s roof-top deck was refashioned to be more functional. It was once, “hot, exposed, and completely unwelcoming”. Now, with the help of some Loll Furniture and other updates, Hazel gushes, “I think of it as a landing pad for the sky”.
