WindSense Loll is excited to be enrolled with our local power company in developing renewable energy. Minnesota Power offers customers the opportunity to support electricity that is wind-generated by subscribing for blocks of wind energy for a surcharge. Through this program we are supporting further development of wind energy in Minnesota. Minnesota Power’s WindSense program will only grow in part due to Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty. On February 22, 2007 Pawlenty signed into law a renewable energy requirement for 25% of the electricity produced by the state’s utilities to come from renewable energy by 2025. |
